ART-LENS has developed an advanced and unique digital imaging process that, together with our technique of painting with natural pigments, allows us to replicate the natural structure and color of the iris in prosthetic eyes, thereby creating a 3D effect that maximizes the realism of the ocular prosthetic.

ART-LENS, founded in 1982 by Ovidio Gutiérrez Marcos, is currently managed in its second generation by Alex Gutiérrez Pérez. It is a center specializing in the manufacture and fitting of ocular prosthetics, prosthetic contact lenses, and low vision solutions with a special dedication to research.

Ovidio Gutiérrez, optician, ocularist, and specialist in the Brånemark System of prosthetic facial implants, dedicates much of his time to research and development in the manufacture and fitting of ocular and facial prosthetics.

In 1972 he became a member of the General Óptica team , and in 1974 he was appointed as Director of Ocular Prosthetics for General Óptica for all of Spain.

He established his private practice in 1982, earning recognition from patients, ophthalmologists, and colleagues all over Europe. His humanity and love for the profession continue to be the pillars of ART-LENS.
In 1998, the company welcomed Alex Gutiérrez Pérez, ocularist, ophthalmic optician, and orthopedic technician.

As the current manager of the company, he focuses on research and innovation in materials and new technologies in the field of ocular prosthetics. We are proud to provide excellent service from beginning to end by maintaining a constant and personalized relationship with each and every one of our patients. Our goal is to ensure that they have a positive experience while receiving the best care possible.

LOW VISION

The low vision department's specialization in selecting and assisting with vision aids is our letter of introduction. We have the latest instruments available for evaluating residual vision and the latest technologies in magnifying systems to offer our patients.

ART-LENS operates two laboratories in the same center: one for ocular prosthetics and another for prosthetic contact lenses. With our team of highly qualified and specialized professionals who are fully dedicated to providing the highest-quality service, we are able to process any fitting quickly.
